Reindeer Lodge was built in 1992 and is in the middle of the Forrest at the highest point in Tanjil Bren. It has beautiful views overlooking a valley to a mountain and is surrounded by large gum trees. Reindeer Lodge has all the rustic charm of a large A frame Mountain Lodge with old logging and antique memorabilia throughout. It is solar powered with gas used for lights, fridge, hot water and cooking. It caters for 8 people with 1 queen bed, 1 double bed and bunk room for 4, there are extra mattresses available on request. Living, dining, and kitchen are in one large open plan room. There is a large kitchen and internal spiral staircase to a hideaway bedroom in the loft. The Lodge is heated with a big slow combustion burner, which can be shut down to slow combust all night or sit in front of and watch the fire roar away. The balcony outside provides a great mountain view with a place to sit and watch the birds and animal life. Reindeer Lodge has a smaller balcony than Moosehead Lodge. If two groups are using both houses they are better getting together at Moosehead Lodge where there is more room. It is only 70 metres from Moosehead Lodge and 130 metres from Jenny's Lodge.
