If you are going to Mt Baw Baw,

It is required by law to carry chains when travelling to Mount Baw Baw.

Chains must be carried during the snow season regardless of snow conditions.

Diamond pattern chains are preferable due to the steep gradient of the access road.

Chain Hire is not available at the Resort - so be sure to plan ahead.

Upon entry to the Resort, you will be directed by Mountain Staff where and when to fit your chains. Depending on the snowfall this generally takes place once you have passed the Gate Entry. It is your responsibility to know how to fit wheel chains and ensure they are the correct size. If in doubt please ask your chain retailer for instructions.

We recommend that you bring; gloves, a plastic sheet and a torch (if fitting at night) for when you are required to fit and remove chains.

YOU WILL BE DENIED ACCESS TO THE RESORT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE WHEEL CHAINS.

Car wheel chains are available sometimes from the lodge in Tanjil Bren. It takes 20 minutes to get to the ski village at Baw Baw from Tanjil Bren. Go before 8.45 am or after 10 am as during peak times delays may happen on weekends during the busiest time.

No smoking inside house.

No need to bring 240V appliances, as we have no 240V outlets - 12V only.

Most mobile phones work.

When hiring Moosehead Lodge, Jenny's Lodge or Reindeer Lodge, you will be the sole occupants.

Minimum Stay: 2 Nights during School Holidays, Long weekends, Religious Holidays and Ski Season. 1 night stay is OK mid week during Off Peak Season and on weekends if the lodge is not booked on the Friday before the weekend.

Check in: After 2pm, check out before 11am. Early check in and late checkouts possible by arrangement with the Lodge Manager. This is dependent on other guest arrivals and departures and not possible during busy times. Please check with the manager about luggage storage.

Long term: Looking to write a book or stay for and extended period just to get away from it all?? See us for a great deal to suit you. The forest and fresh air will do you wonders.

Payment: On booking. Either the full amount or one nights accommodation and the balance in cash on arrival.

Cancellations
We will gladly refund your money (less a $25 administration fee) if you cancel your reservation more than 14 days prior to your arrival. If you cancel within 14 days of arrival or leave before your scheduled departure date, you will be charged the entire amount of your reservation. If we are able to sell the room, a full refund will be given less the $25 fee.

Moosehead Lodge Sleeps 6 people, has 2 bedrooms. 1 Queen size bed and 4 single beds in 2 bunks.

Jenny's Lodge Sleeps 12 people, has 3 bedrooms. 12 single beds in 6 bunks. 3 bunks in one room, 2 bunks in one room and 1 bunk in one room.

Reindeer Lodge Sleeps 8 people, has 3 bedrooms. 1 Queen size bed, 1 double bed and 4 single beds in 2 bunks.
