Love the rustic feeling of the lodge. I have a two-month old with me and we have no problem staying in the eco-lodge. He really enjoyed it too and slept really well. However, I must admit it would be challenging to come back when my boy starts on solid as there's no microwave and I won't be able to use food processor or the like. |

We had a great time staying at the Reindeer Lodge. It had a real alpine feel to it and the big wood heater kept the place very warm, it was also pretty to look at. In the morning we put seed out for the birds and had dozens of king parrots eating out of our hands. |

Yes we loved it but found the neighbors 2 doors up towards the waterfall so loud with their generator and music but it was NYE so I guess that can be expected but we thought goon to te bush would be quieter! But thats out of your hands too of course. Apart from that we loved it many thanks |

The lodge was excellent. We loved how spacious the rooms were and how peaceful and quiet it was.
The lodge was absolutely beautiful, we enjoyed our stay there. The only minor suggestion is to provide 240v instead of 20v. |

We stayed there with a party of 8, which was fine, but I think that if there were 12 people it would be cramped, especially the seating. The lack of mains electricity was fine for 1 night, but wuld pose more of a problem if you were staying longer term. |

We loved the lodge and surrounds, the kids would have loved it (but we left them behind, so sad), maybe next time. Tanjil Bren is wonderfully quiet.
We walked to the crystal pit and found a few partially formed quartz crystals. Advise taking a shovel or something, we found a broken camping spade and that sufficed. Beautiful walk up there though. The sausage dogs had a ball - had to carry the fat one for the last kilometre back! Will be back. |

Wonderful and peaceful. Felt like a home not just a holiday house. Everything was good quality - the couches, the cooking implements.Had great character part of which is the amazing 'Buck' and being able to hear the bagpipes from the resident piper, who played so gently was fantastic. We stayed in the newly aquired Last Resort which really served our needs as a close destination to Mt Baw Baw. As it lacked lighting during our visit & considering the price we payed,,,well we really can't complain. The beds seem to require an upgrade though. Cld live with the bats in the 2nd flr flying aerial manoevres in the dark. Had the 9 of us remained in the house well that wld have been another story. It is my belief that it cannot accomodate that many, given that 5 occupants were kids under 10 & roaming space is limited. Food 4 thought i hope. |

The house was lovely, however very cold in the bedrooms for the young children (had to shut the door so they would sleep, not allowing the heat into the room between 7pm and 11pm. Freezing!) The fridge was running on 16degrees, after some food went off we think the kids may have turnt the fridge off. Lovely place for a couple. |

Had no power supply so had to have the generator on. Also not very well maintained. Windows upstairs only one opens (gets really hot up there with the fire on) and i don't thinks its very safe for children. We were 2 families and we stayed at the Jenny's Lodge for 2 nights. It was a pleasant and unique experience. The place is nestled in a picturesque surrounding with a nice warm fireplace, well equipped kitchen, nice fresh entertainment for the kids (not TV or internet as we would always get in the city). Found it quite refreshing change from the usual mundane holiday trips. |

If we have a large party why not? Only disappointing part of the trip was Mt Baw Baw peak didn't have sufficient snow. I think this problem is going to be more prominent especially with global warming etc in the future. Perhaps the lodge needs to focus on summer/spring holiday makers as well. |

Only feedback is that it was VERY cold when we arrived (4% inside the lodge) and it would've been nice if the fire had been lit earlier to make it more comfortable initially.
The other small issue that the lodge has is ventilation over the cooktop. The smoke detectors were set off when we were cooking breakfast.
Otherwise, we loved the lodge and location. Both Kim & Alan were very hospitable & friendly. We would love to come visit again sometime. |

The decor provided a lot of entertainment and the lodges were both very comfortable and function as well as set in a beautiful location. The caretakers were very helpful and made sure to have the fire lit for us so the lodge was warm when we arrived (very welcome since we arrived on a cold wet night!). |

It was great to have the directions - something we referred to a few times on the way up the hill.
Just a suggestion - the final left hand turn into the 'Recreation Reserve' track after the toilet/phone booth in Tanjil Bren could refer to the signage. (I think it says something like 'Recreation Reserve' but not quite sure). We were lucky to find it first time, but Cov advised that many haven't, so referring to this sign might help. |

The 9volt power was a bit of an issue as the caretakers had trouble getting the generator to work. Luckily my husband could get it going. The battery didn't have much life. We used our car battery to run the TV. Apart from that all was great. The caretakers were very caring and helpful. they just need some more experience in running the generator. |

Initial enquiries - good communication. After booking Moosehead Lodge and paying a deposit we were contacted and informed we had been relocated to Reindeer Lodge (that Moosehead Lodged was not available). This was not satisfactory but was later rectified. |

First impression "WOW". Unique. Relaxing. Peaceful. Probably the only place we have stayed that catered to all of our needs (parents/children). Passionately decorated and extremely well presented. A place that needs to be seen to be appreciated. |

Apart from a few cobwebs in hard to reach places and a slight musty smell, the lodge was very clean. |

We will most definately be back. Not much needed to make it the PERFECT place to stay ... a fresh smell and a warm lodge (fire going) would comliment the warm and friendly personal welcome we received. THANKS !!! |

great apart from, no options for couples
(double beds would have been good)! but we survived
also would have been good to know in advance that we couldnt use power to charge batteries for camera or phone
but again this didnt deter from the experience. |

the couches were very inviting and the pot belly was divine

Cyrus was great. Loved the way he had the fire all set for us. No complaints at all about the cleanliness and the lodge is well fitted out. |

Will just need to bring a few more people to spread the cost. There were just three of us, but we liked the privacy and quietness - and having a shower each with one to spare! |

I became a walking talking Moosehead Lodge website after pondering over in for many hours in anticipation for the coming break (yes i did need a holiday!). I loved the website with all its photos, i somehow felt a little connected to the region when I arrived having spent so many hours studying the faces of the past. The site inself was informative, and the instructions helped. |

Moosehead Lodge was everything we hoped plus more. Cyrus was the perfect host ensuring we were comfortable at all times. The Lodge itself helped to realign our overworked frequencies bringing us right back to the hum of harmony and balance. |

but only this time the past years were no problem, mostly not your fault but the delay in finishing the lodge was a little frustrating would have liked to be informed more offen instead of us having to ring every 3 or 4 weeks, i understand delays in building being a carpenter but communication is the key. |

Was promised that the fire would be lit and lodge warm for us on arrival but did not happen. Was only met and lit when we got there. Cyrus could not get the gas lamps working so relied on the candles the first night as the battery power had not been charged and was low. Apart from that we loved our stay and the lodge was nice and close for us to come back to after a day of skiing. |

Website is very comprehensive and is relatively easy to navigate. My only suggestion would be that perhaps some changes could be made to the size of the graphics overall on the site because some pages can be slow to load depending upon the speed of your access to the internet. |

Our party stayed in both Reindeer and Moosehead lodge and we all absolutely loved the 'rustic charm'.
Only difficulty I had was finding space for everything when I was cooking but that is because we had all 14 people together in Moosehead Lodge for every meal.
Having said that, never at any point did we feel like we were squashed in, we were easily all able to spread ourselves around the lodge to read or talk or play games.
One of the great things about the lodges is that they truely are self contained, everything that I needed to prepare 5 meals for 14 people was there (between the two lodges). It was great to not have to bring things like condiments etc. |

The lodges are absolutely charming, aided by the fact that our arrival was heralded by amazing parrots who sat on hands.
It was very nice to have a friendly welcome by Cyrus. The whole experience was very 'easy'.
We all felt incredibly relaxed when we left, and have already talked about going back with our kids next year.
